Why Mortar exists
Design projects fail in the gaps between things
Every interior design studio we talked to ran on some version of the same stack: a spreadsheet for the budget, an inbox for the approvals, a folder of supplier threads for the orders — and a designer in the middle keeping the three in sync by hand. The work wasn’t the problem. The gaps between the systems were: the approval nobody wrote down, the budget that drifted while everyone watched the mood board, the sofa ordered eight weeks late.
Mortar puts budgets, selections, client approvals, and order tracking in one visual workspace — so each fact about the project lives once, and everyone (including the client) looks at the same picture.
